Pastor Henry L. Bailey was born in Kansas City, Missouri and is native of Clarenden, Arkansas. From an early age he knew there was a call on his life but chose to ignore it. He lived out of the will of God but always knew God was with him. He ran from the call for 30 years, living a life that involved drugs and dangerous encounters. He testified that once he was in a shoot out, he and a friend; they were running, the friend behind and the bullet that was aimed for him missed him and his friend got shot instead. Another time he recalls to being sentenced to 15 years in prison for drugs and only served 6 months and was released. He then recognized that God had always been there for him. He decided that he could not live his life without God. He knew God had a promising future for him and to receive what God had for him, he had to obey God and live totally committed to him. Once he received the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, He has stood on the words of his favorite scripture Psalm 23. "The Lord is My Shepherd and I shall not want." He is living testimony that since he chose Jesus, the Lord has been his Shepherd and he has never been without. He loves the Lord, Jehovah Jireh, his sole provider.
